Mindfulness 101

What is mindfulness?
"The awareness that arises from paying attention on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally" according to Jon Kabat-Zinn
Sounds simple right?  But when you really think about it, how often are you fully engaged in the practice of paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally?
This is why mindfulness requires practice.
Sitting Still Like a Frog  is a wonderful book of mindfulness practices for kids and parents.  It includes a CD that guides you through a series of simple exercises.
